Privacy Policy
ZIRCLE helps you find trusted people for your home through the people you know. This page explains what we keep about you, why, and what you can do about it.
What we keep
- Your phone number. We use it to sign you in with a one-time code. We store it encrypted.
- Your profile. Your name, and anything you choose to add: a photo, an email address, a short note about yourself, your interests.
- Your location. Only while you are using the app, and only if you allow it. We keep your current position and your city, not a history of where you have been. We also keep any addresses you save. We never track you in the background.
- What you share in circles. Posts, replies, messages, invites and the circles you belong to.
- Bookings and reviews. Who you booked, when, the address and any photo you added, the messages about the booking, and reviews you write.
- Your vault. The appliances, bills, warranties and files you add. Only you can see them.
- If you list a business. Your business details, services, photos and working hours. Also the documents you send us for checks, such as ID, a licence or a police verification. We use these to verify you, and do not show them to customers.
- Payment receipts. If you pay us by UPI, the receipt you upload so we can confirm it. We never see or store your bank or card details.
- Technical records. A code that lets us send alerts to your phone, sign-in records, and a log of important account actions, kept for security.
- Your agreement. Which version of these terms you accepted, and when.
Who else sees it
Other ZIRCLE users see what the app shows them: your name and photo, what you post in circles you share, and a business's public listing. Your phone number is not shown in your profile or in circles. It is shared only so you can reach each other: with a provider while they have accepted your booking, and with a customer who unlocks or books a business you list.
We use a few services to run the app. Each gets only what it needs:
- an SMS provider, to send your sign-in code;
- Google, to search and look up addresses;
- Apple and Google, to deliver alerts to your phone;
- a cloud storage provider, to hold photos and files.
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising or tracking tools. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Settings in the app. It happens straight away.
- Your phone number, profile, location, saved addresses, vault and any business listing are erased.
- Posts and replies you wrote in circles stay, so conversations still make sense. They show as “Deleted user”.
- Records of past bookings are kept, without your address or photos, so the other person still has their history.
- Our backups roll over in 30 days. After that, erased data is gone from them too.
Your rights
You can see and change most of your data in the app. You can ask us for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account. We handle these requests under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
